"FULFILLING GOD'S AGENDA"

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void: and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Gen. 1:1-2
The Bible said when the earth was without form and nothing was taking shape, God decided to reveal His principles and how he works - the Spirit of the Lord brood over the waters. When God's Spirit begins to brood over your life, your challenge and problems will give way. This principle works through out the scriptures.
This year's convention theme is "Fulfilling God's Agenda". It can only be fulfilled by the moving of the Spirit of God upon your life. When God's Spirit comes over you, every dark spot that is confronting you, every challenge that is coming against you shall begin to give way. God will begin to make a way.
There are many 'how' questions, 'how' problems but let us always get the principle right. God delivered Israel from Egypt and brought them to the promise land but they sinned against God. This led them into captivity for seventy years after which God promised to deliver them.
So when the seventy years was up, God started His action, in Ezra 1:1- King Cyrus said the Lord God of heaven has charge him to build him a house in Jerusalem.
Every God's agenda has a time! And also when God's agenda is up, you can fulfill God's prophetic order. If you are fulfilling God's agenda it means you are fulfilling God's purpose and programme. After the seventy years God stirred up the spirit of King Cyrus to make a degree in fulfillment of God's prophetic order.
In fulfilling God's agenda these three things is worthy of note:
- 1. The timing of God.
- 2. Fulfillment of God's prophetic order
- 3. The moving of the Spirit.
When you read these books, Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther, you will find out that, even though the king made the decree for the Israelites to go back to Jerusalem not all of them went. When it is time for the fulfillment of God's agenda, there will be people who will be willing and they will take the necessary steps to do what God wants them to do. There are others who will not be interested.
The fulfillment of God's agenda is dependent on your will to make a choice. God wants to do something in your life. I might not know what the need is but I came to tell you that you will not leave this convention without your need being fulfill.
There is only one thing you need to do. Believe that the Holy Spirit will do a new thing in your life. Don't focus on the problem and the challenge but see God coming into your life, see His Spirit coming over you, see a moving of the Spirit over your life.
Don't be hindered by your debt. Just as Elisha told the widow to sell the oil and pay her debt, you should not let your debt overcome you. Go in the move of the Spirit and pay your debt!
